The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) says Israel is blocking the entry of around 6,000 trucks loaded with food, medicine and relief supplies destined for Gaza, enough to sustain the besieged territory for three months.
UNRWA media adviser Adnan Abu Hasna said on Tuesday that although the amount of aid entering the besieged territory has “nominally increased” since the ceasefire took effect in October, the flow remains far below the level required to meet the overwhelming needs of a population devastated by two years of genocide and blockade.
In October, Israel notified the United Nations that it would only allow 300 aid trucks into the besieged strip each day, cutting the agreed number by half.
Abu Hasna said ever since, the Tel Aviv regime has prevented the entry of essential items, including medical supplies, water, sanitation equipment, and basic foodstuffs.....more below
Ghana is interested in purchasing a floating nuclear power plant from Russia, Ghanaian Ambassador to Russian Koma Steem Jehu-Appiah told Sputnik.
"I know that our minister of energy was here last year and signed a corresponding agreement. I think this is innovative, and in a conversation with the minister of energy, he said that the country is interested.
So, Ghana could purchase such a nuclear power plant," the diplomat said when asked about the possibility of Ghana purchasing a floating nuclear power plant.
Russia and Ghana began cooperation in the field of nuclear energy after signing an intergovernmental agreement in 2015.
The agreement outlined plans for joint work in the areas of training specialists, building nuclear power plants and related infrastructure, and providing maintenance services.
