Hezbollah has launched a ballistic missile at Tel Aviv for the first time, triggering sirens in the city and elsewhere including Netanya, the Lebanese resistance group says.
Israel's Arrow anti-ballistic missile system was activated in Tel Aviv early Wednesday, sending residents in the city to shelters.
"In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, in backing its courageous and honorable resistance, and in defense of Lebanon and its people, the Islamic Resistance launched a 'Qader 1' ballistic missile on Wednesday, at 6:30 a.m., targeting the Mossad headquarters in the suburbs of Tel Aviv," Hezbollah said in a statement.
"This headquarters is responsible for the assassination of leaders and the detonation of pagers and radio devices," it added.
Hezbollah and Israel have been exchanging deadly fire since early October last year, shortly after the regime launched a genocidal war against the Gaza Strip following a surprise operation by Hamas.
Earlier, Hezbollah targeted the Israeli Ilaniya military base at the northern side of the occupied territories with a salvo of Fadi-1 rockets.

Ghana is interested in purchasing a floating nuclear power plant from Russia, Ghanaian Ambassador to Russian Koma Steem Jehu-Appiah told Sputnik.
"I know that our minister of energy was here last year and signed a corresponding agreement. I think this is innovative, and in a conversation with the minister of energy, he said that the country is interested.
So, Ghana could purchase such a nuclear power plant," the diplomat said when asked about the possibility of Ghana purchasing a floating nuclear power plant.
Russia and Ghana began cooperation in the field of nuclear energy after signing an intergovernmental agreement in 2015.
The agreement outlined plans for joint work in the areas of training specialists, building nuclear power plants and related infrastructure, and providing maintenance services.
