Biden ‘very proud’ of expanding NATO to Russia’s borders

The US leader believes that the bloc’s break up would be a “disaster” for the world
Washington has run out of runway to provide more military aid to Kiev without Congress approval, US President Joe Biden has admitted, accusing his Republican rival Donald Trump of not only being the “primary threat” to American freedom and democracy, but also undermining the unity of the US-led military bloc.

Russia has for years voiced concern about NATO’s expansion toward its borders, viewing its policies as an existential threat. However, in an interview with Spanish-language broadcaster Univision that aired Tuesday, Biden touted the recent addition of Finland and Sweden to NATO ranks amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine as a great achievement of his career.

Ghana Interested in Purchasing Floating Nuclear Power Plant From Russia - Envoy

Ghana is interested in purchasing a floating nuclear power plant from Russia, Ghanaian Ambassador to Russian Koma Steem Jehu-Appiah told Sputnik.

"I know that our minister of energy was here last year and signed a corresponding agreement. I think this is innovative, and in a conversation with the minister of energy, he said that the country is interested.

So, Ghana could purchase such a nuclear power plant," the diplomat said when asked about the possibility of Ghana purchasing a floating nuclear power plant.
Russia and Ghana began cooperation in the field of nuclear energy after signing an intergovernmental agreement in 2015.

The agreement outlined plans for joint work in the areas of training specialists, building nuclear power plants and related infrastructure, and providing maintenance services.
